Department of Fire Safety

1. Curriculum Planning
   The Department of Fire Safety offers courses covering fire protection, civil and architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and information technology. The curriculum equips students with professional knowledge and practical skills required in insurance services, disaster prevention and response, public safety, and occupational safety and health management.


2. Program Features
   During their studies, students receive guidance for professional certifications, including Fire Equipment Engineer/Technician, National Firefighter Civil Service Examinations (Grade 3 & 4), Occupational Safety and Health Management, fire prevention, emergency medical response, electrical wiring, piping, and engineering drafting, strengthening both practical skills and professional competitiveness.


3. Further Studies
   Graduates may pursue master's degree programs in fire protection, industrial safety, disaster prevention, and related disciplines at universities in Taiwan.


4. Career Opportunities
   Graduates who obtain Fire Equipment Engineer/Technician licenses may engage in the design, installation, supervision, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems. Those who pass the National Firefighter Civil Service Examination may serve in fire departments as firefighters or technical specialists. Students obtaining Occupational Safety and Health certifications may work as safety and health managers in industries. Career opportunities are also available in insurance companies, engineering consulting firms, construction companies, fire protection engineering companies, fire equipment suppliers, and other related industries as fire safety professionals, sales engineers, or project engineers.
