Introduction

This program was established in the fall of 2014, offering undergraduate degrees currently. This program aims to establish a center for fire science training with close collaboration with partners in all related industries. 

Fire prevention, fire protection engineering, security and disaster prevention are the specialties of this program. Coursework focuses on the state-of-art knowledge that is closely related to fire protection. Our faculty, currently including 2 associate professors and one lecture and expected to expand in the next a few years, supported by professionals from all industrial fields in fire science, will offer quality courses in all related fields that include fire science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering to chemical engineering. 

Courses and training in this program will provide students with advanced professional knowledge as well as gateways to further education and training. A comprehensive system of laboratories will be set up in the coming years, which include a fire virtual laboratory, a hypoxia environment laboratory, a fire forensic laboratory, an exhibit room, a fire engine canopy, and fire safety laboratories. The curriculum also stresses students’ foreign language proficiency and information technology comprehension, fully preparing the graduates for the job market.
